Pursat has a lots of potential products such as rice(dry and wet), cane, cassava, orange, marble, bean, corn, sesame, fisheries fresh (water fish), and palm sugar. The Strategy of Pursat province is intended to be guiding tool in the management of Pursat’s future growth. By facilitating more efficient development and infrastructure investment it will thereby assist in the establishment of Pursat as a key provincial centre. In 2014, the population of Pursat Province is 473,322 Persons with the density 37 Persons per Km2. There are four ethnic groups in Pursat Province such as Khmer, ethnic Vietnamese, ethnic Chinese and Cham(Khmer Islam). Most Pursat people respect Buddhism and other Islam, and Cristianity.
